Mac News: iPad, MacBook torpedoing ultrabook sales   
Analysts are not kind to ultrabooks. Add Tim Bajarin to that long list. Though the Creative Strategies president offers plenty of reasons for ultrabooks’ woes, one of the more intriguing is that Apple products are boxing ultrabooks into a pricing dead zone.

Technology News: Wozniak is wrong about cloud computing   
In a recent interview, Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple with the late Steve Jobs, predicted “horrible problems” with the use of cloud computing over the next five years. I was taken back by this statement, especially since most provider agreements state that you do own your data in their cloud. Perhaps he was referring to consumer clouds and social networking sites that may present different terms.

Other News: Mars landing boosts U.S. space program   
As thumbnails of the video flashed on a big screen on Monday, scientists and engineers at the NASA Jet Propulsion let out “oohs” and “aahs.” The recording began with the protective heat shield falling away and ended with dust being kicked up as the rover was lowered by cables inside an ancient crater.
