Each year, Waldie Plaza, located in Downtown Antioch, is the place to be each Saturday evening in July and August. Here we relax under the evening sky while listening to music from local bands ranging from blues, latin and jazz to country and the oldies. The best, it was free!
Yesterday was the last concert for this year, Toree McGee & Rodeo House played some great ‘today’s new country rock’ music for us. Before that we enjoyed Del Soul, Tuck & Roll, Vocal-Ease & The Boogie Men, The PHDs, Nicky D & The extreme All~Stars, The Love Handles and Project 4. Can wait for next year thanks for the donation by the Lesher Foundation.
However the summer concert series may be over, but there is one more free concert at Waldie Plaza, the 17th Annual Delta Blues Festival 19th September. For more information visit their website.
Below is a small sample of the photos I took. To see them all visit the Summer Concerts album set.
