Due to some back problem my movements were restricted to my backyard for today. Part of nature photography are clouds, and I was lucky that there were some clouds hanging over the foothills, just what I needed for today’s set.
Since there was only one single view that the 15mm focal length would be able to catch, I decided, since it is the last day for this lens to take photos at the six FL markings, which are 15mm (10), 18mm (12), 24mm (16), 27mm (18), 30mm (20) and 36mm (24). FL in () are for FF cameras.
As can be seen on the first two photos, the objects on the edge are fish-eyed, in this case the wall distanced trees on the right-side. One of the negatives for using a short focal length. This distortion can be corrected in post-processing within DarkTable, for now I leave it as it is.
All photos were taken with my Sony SLT α77 and Tamron SP 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II lens, using Aperture mode, with a setting of f/13, White Balance set to cloudy, ISO to 200.
