I was shocked and saddened to hear your news, and fully understand your priorities for survival. It sounds from the blog that you are getting excellent care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
We really missed you at the meeting this week, and I communicate the following resolution:
The MoU/MG expresses its great appreciation to Mr. Klaus-Dieter Naujok (retiring Chair of ISO/TC 154) for his persistent and outstanding contributions to the creation and work of the MoU/MG since its inception, and most recently for his leadership on the proof-of-concept work on semantic interoperability and harmonization.
All the members of the MoU/MG join with me in wishing you a speedy recovery. If it is of any help, my father always took the view that once the medics had located a tumour, it became their problem. He was given six weeks to live in 1960, and suffered surgery for more than ten occurrences of bowel and skin cancer until he died of a heart attack in 2004 having outlived five of his surgeons.
