Today’s good news was … Here I am trying to single out what was the best news? It is getting harder and harder to something. For most of the day, things went as planned. For today that would be the start of treatment cycle 4. It starts with taking in the morning my 10 pills of Dexamethasone. This is followed in the afternoon with my Kyprolis IV treatment at the local cancer center, and in the evening with my Revlimid pill.
In between these activities I have time to write this blog entry, talk in morning, using either FaceTime or Skype, with my family and friends. In the evening I have dinner with Dianne and Denise and afterwards we watch some TV before retiring to bed.
As to the bad news for today, the same applies as with the good news, it gets harder and harder to find something when things start to slowly turn to the better. If there is anything to report as bad it is the surgery pain, which comes through after the 4mg breakthrough pain loses its effectiveness, which is about 90 minutes before the time of the next dose. I could go back to the 8mg, or take another 4mg, but that defeats the purpose of slowly lowing the pain killer. So for now we stay with 4mg.
Standard ending, that’s it for today, I will now enjoy my dinner and afterwards watch a good movie as part of my evening rest period before going to bed.
