2017-10-29 Recovery Day 237

Today was another so-so day:

  • on the good side:
    • no bone pain, and
    • back pain level at 6 (mostly discomfort)
  • on the bad side:
    • lightheadedness
    • swelling of both feet and legs
    • stomach cramps and pain most of the day, and
    • vomiting in afternoon

The night was so-so, stomach cramps in the morning. I got up at 7:00, had no breakfast, just a slice of toast. I rested for most of the morning because of stomach pains that sometimes were severe. Around lunch my stomach settle down, enough to get up and walk around a bit. Since I did not have my morning walk I decided to go outside for a walk with Dianne. Instead of going for my regular standard 60 minute walk, I cut it down to 25 minutes. The result being that my back pain did not increase as it did when my walks were longer. I have to thank Ray for the suggestion to cut down on my walks as it is the reason for the increase in back pain.

Around 3:30 Dianne and I wend for our afternoon walk. The last 10 minutes of our 30 minute walk I encountered lightheadedness. Getting back home I lied back in my recliner to get rid of my lightheadedness, but instead after about 15 minutes I had to vomit. Afterwards I returned to my recliner to rest for the rest of the evening. Since my stomach was not settling down at all I skip eating any thing for dinner. Instead I wend upstairs to bed hoping to be able to sleep without having any further need to vomit.

In summary today was a so-so day. I had hoped to help Dianne outside in the backyard to get things ready for Tuesday when we have workers come to do some garden improvements.
