2018-06-22 Recovery Day 473

Today was another great day. The day started with our bed moving around 12:41 AM thanks to a 3.4 Earthquake in Oakley, about 10 miles from our place. I got up at 7:00 with no signs of dizziness, had a light breakfast before taking my morning medication. Again, like yesterday the goal was to leave at 8:30 instead of 9:00 to beat the heat.

We decided to visit the Black Diamond Mines Park entering from the Somerville Road and park at the parking lot at the end of the Markley Canyon. We walk along the Lower Chaparral Trail towards Hazel Atlas Mine, turning around to go back to the parking lot. Since it started to heat up we drank a lot of water and our walking pace was rather slow.

We did a bit of grocery shopping on the way home. By the time I got back home, it was time for lunch with my Ex-Premonus colleagues. We enjoyed our lunch outside our backyard. By the time we were done the temperature had risen to the level of discomfort. After lunch I worked on our fountain, adding a wire mesh to the water return to catch leaves and other things that stop the water pump from working.

Since it got to hot to be outside, it was time to go inside and rest since the walk and the heat have taken some energy. I used the resting time for uploading the pictures from this morning. The rest of the afternoon was spend getting this blog entry started and for Dianne preparing dinner. After dinner we continued to watch a movie and some TV.

That it for today, in summary, today was overall a great day.
