Today got off to a rough start but turned out to be a GREAT one. I had to get up a bit earlier to make it for my 8:00 morning pickup. Because I started off rushing things, such as my breakfast, my system started to get overloaded. Slowing down got me back on track, ready to have a good day. My shoulder pain level was high but taken two Tylenol did the trick for the day. Health-wise I was fine all day, keeping my pain levels in check resting when needed and watching my movements during the outdoor activities.
Today was a OK day that started off good. Around lunchtime the pain in my shoulder acted up, it may have been because during my morning walk I moved my head too far back following a hawk putting on a good show. I noticed that as time progressed some low-level pain in my shoulder. However, it stayed at a low level until I ended my shopping at Home Depot before lunch. I got the pain under control with Tylenol and resting before I visited the Dentist.
Another good day that started not so good. I had trouble sleeping due to a sharp pain in my shoulder and lower back area. I had to take a Dilaudid again. By the time I got up the pain was manageable. As to the dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain, there were none. Since we had workers coming at 9:00 and it was Dean’s off day, I started my walk early around 7:45, for most of the walk there was no pain other than at the start.
Today was another good day that again started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. However, my shoulder pain, was at a higher pain level than normally. Also, I still feel the pain on my right side in the area where I fell. Just before lunchtime my shoulder pain and that from the fall on my right side had increased to a level that I was thinking of not attending today’s support group meeting. However, after lunch, both pains had dropped back to a low level that allowed me to attend the meeting.
Today was a good day that started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. Even the shoulder pain, a result of the spine surgery, was at a low pain level. However, it did feel pain on my right side of the area I fell on yesterday. As the day progress the stiffness did not disappear, actually, my shoulder pain level also increased. I seem to have overdone my activity instead of resting.
Today was a unexpected day, it started off as a very good day with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. Even the shoulder pain, a result of the spine surgery, was at a low pain level. We got up on our normal Sunday morning time and had a good breakfast, home-made waffles with warm strawberries, pineapple and bananas. We waited for the sun to warm up the outside before starting our morning walk.
Today was another so-so day, it almost was a very bad day. Like yesterday, on the positive side, the day started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. However, on the shoulder pain side, a result of the spine surgery, things were so bad that I stayed in bed. Dianne even brought my breakfast, homemade McMuffin, up to me. To get the pain under control I took a Dilaudid (hydromorphone hydrochloride). I stayed in bed until lunchtime, by which the pain level was way down.
Today was a so-so day. On the positive side, the day started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. My shoulder pain, results of the spine surgery, was acting up a bit. This is nothing new as I have gotten used to it. I will most likely have this for the rest of my life. I took some Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) to lower the pain level for my upcoming morning walk. Things stayed on the positive side until after lunch, around 1:00 PM, when my left shoulder side started to hurt. It felt like a muscle pain, especially when trying to move my left arm.
Today was a good day. No dizziness and stomach queasiness at the start of my day! Even the bone pain in both of my hips seems to be gone, which normally stops a day or two earlier after treatment. Normally it lasts no more than 4 days after treatment, this time it took 6 days. I expected to be tired for most of the day after yesterdays long day which lasted to around 11:00 PM. In summary, today was a good day.
Let’s start by explaining why this posting was not available yesterday – IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY HEALTH ISSUE!!! It was the lack of time as you will see in a moment.
Today (22nd August) was a good day, again with some unexciting start of the day. Getting up I had to rush to the bathroom because of some dry-heaving which lasted about 5 minutes. I went back to bed for an hour and getting a second time up, no dizziness and stomach queasiness for the rest of the day, which was important since I had signed up for some late evening session with the East Bay Regional Park District part of my Docent training.
