2018-08-14 Recovery Day 526

Another good day with dizziness and my stomach queasiness when first getting up. Taking Zofran and Meclizine got it under control before breakfast. The added Transderm Scop (Scopolamine) patch should start working by tomorrow. Tomorrow is my treatment day, the first within my 4-week cycle, 1 on 3 off. It will be interesting to see how this will affect the good days I had lately.

One side effect I encountered today was that after lunch I was falling asleep unexpectedly and constantly. This happened during the support group meeting, at home during the dinner and writing this posting. It took some energy, especially writing this article, to stay on course.

This morning, after Denise left for work, I noticed the clouds in the sky. What was special this morning was the lack of any smog, and instead blue sky and white clouds, a good subject for my PICTURES today.

Before walking this morning I got some stuff together for a contractor to replace the faucet in our downstairs bathroom. I also uploaded this morning pictures since the schedule for this morning until noon is very tight.

Since I already have the photos for today, our walk this morning was without breaks, testing out my back surgery. The added stress did not raise the current pain level, which is good news.

Getting back from our walk, I change clothes, to get ready for Tuesday’s support group meeting. I prepared a small lunch for me before Dean picked me up to drop me off at the local cancer center for my support group session. After the meeting I went with Dianne to Lowe’s to order a new dishwasher we picked last night, the Bosh 300 Series 24″ Recessed Handle Stainless Steel Dishwasher (SHE863WF5N). After dinner, we watch some more TV before calling it a day.
