2018-08-17 Recovery Day 529

Today another good, but busy day. Still, the day started with dizziness and stomach queasiness after getting up. See earlier posts starting with posting 2018-08-10 Recovery Day 522 for details. As to the Transderm Scop (Scopolamine) patch, the verdict is still not out if it works or not. I will keep using it until 21 August, the end of this cycle, to see if the patch is working.

Since today is Friday, Larry, Greg, Bill and Suzan will join me for our traditional Premenos Lunch. However, before that get-together, Dean and I went to the Antioch Marina for our morning walk and PICTURE taking. After our walk, we drove to Concord to stop by at Fry’s for some 8GB memory to be used to upgrade Dean’s Granddaughter Dell laptop. On our way back we stopped at Costco for some groceries. By the time we got back home, we had about 20 minutes to install the new RAM. Wouldn’t you know, the laptop would not start up. Since it was lunchtime I put the upgrade on hold.

The lunching get-together was a very good one. Besides eating we always find topics to talk about. Sometimes we are in totals disagreements, especially when drifting into politics. By the time lunch is over we always part as friends. Greg and Bill with Suzan had to leave a bit earlier, which gave Larry some time to check out what the memory upgrade issue was. As it turns out, Fry’s gave us the high voltage version, not the low voltage one. A trip to Fry’s solved that problem.

Being back home, I had about 15 minutes to work on the Dell, however, there was not much to do since it was still running software updates. The memory update had to wait until after dinner. The evening ended with us watching some TV before calling it a day.
