2018-08-24 Recovery Day 536

Today was a so-so day. On the positive side, the day started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. My shoulder pain, results of the spine surgery, was acting up a bit. This is nothing new as I have gotten used to it. I will most likely have this for the rest of my life. I took some Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) to lower the pain level for my upcoming morning walk. Things stayed on the positive side until after lunch, around 1:00 PM, when my left shoulder side started to hurt. It felt like a muscle pain, especially when trying to move my left arm.

Today’s walk started at the trail on Deermeadow/Wolf Way to Country Hill Drive. From there we climbed up to the top of the hill that runs parallel to Country Hill Drive. The hillside is part of the protected Burrowing Owl Preserve. As to today’s PICTURE, they are all part of the Anything goes Friday theme.

Getting back home, Dean and I went for a quick drive to Costco for some groceries, including a roasted chicken, which I pulled all the meat off for later use this weekend.

Since today was Friday time for our traditional Premenos Lunch. However, Greg, Bill, and Suzan notified me on a short notice that they were not able to join me. Therefore after checking with Larry, the lunch was corresponded to next week.

Shortly after lunch, I started to feel pain in my left shoulder side that increased to a level that required me to take more painkillers. I am not sure what the source of the pain is. It does seem to be like a muscle pain since it hurts more when I try to do something with my left arm. The solution to keeping the pain down is to rest and not use my left arm. This made it a bit difficult to upload the pictures and write this post, but I got it done, with a dinner break in between. Hopefully, with a good sleep, things will be so much better tomorrow.
