2018-08-25 Recovery Day 537

Today was another so-so day, it almost was a very bad day. Like yesterday, on the positive side, the day started with no dizziness, stomach queasiness or bone pain after getting up. However, on the shoulder pain side, a result of the spine surgery, things were so bad that I stayed in bed. Dianne even brought my breakfast, homemade McMuffin, up to me. To get the pain under control I took a Dilaudid (hydromorphone hydrochloride). I stayed in bed until lunchtime, by which the pain level was way down.

After lunch and an hour rest in my recliner, Dianne and I went for a short walk through our neighborhood, starting at Deermeadow Way continuing along Fawn Hill Way and Sterling Hill Drive before closing the loop by returning back home. Today’s PICTURES have no particular subject in mind.

Being back home, I rested in my recliner for the rest of the afternoon and evening, getting up every so often. The painkiller started to wear off, however, the pain level did not increase, the only side effect I encountered was lightheadedness.

For dinner, Denise prepared for today, poutine fries, fresh corn from our farmers market and topped with shredded roasted chicken. It was an excellent meal. Afterward, we watch a Hallmark movie before calling it a day.
