2018-09-21 Recovery Day 564

Today was a excellent day, no dizziness, stomach problems, or bone or back pain getting up this morning. I start to sound like a broken record. Finally, the days of possible side effects from the treatment 10 days ago are over, this time it lasted 3 extra days. This coming Wednesday I will go back on the Pomalyst (Chemo Pill) to deal with another set of side effects.

Our walk today was over the hill from Country Hill Drive to Water Park on Lone Tree Way, behind the Community Center back up to the wildlife reserve to Mustang Court and Wolverine Way to the trail parallel to Country Hill and back home. The subject for today’s PICTURES was to represent ‘lead’ metaphor for leadership. I use pathways and trails to “lead” the way or “show” the way.

After getting back from the walk Dean drove me to the Post Office so that I could send my Canadian Social Security Application to Canada Services. I should hear something back in about 3 months. After the Post Office, we went to Costco to pick up a few groceries.

By the time we got back home, it was time to get ready for lunch with my Ex-Premenos colleagues. Today James joined our small club. As always we had good conversations and memories.

After lunch, I spend time in my office trying to sort out and clean up all that stuff that has accumulated since I stopped working some 18 months ago. I start making some progress, but there is still a long way to go, it will keep me busy.

In between working in my office, I helped Dianne a bit with some housework. Before I know it was dinner time. After dinner, we watch a movie on TV before and called it a day.
