2018-10-27 Recovery Day 600

Today was a better day! Health-wise it again did not start off very well, but as the day progressed things got better. I had a bad night thanks to the activity next door that lasted from midnight to 4:00 in the morning. Thanks to Dianne, I had a great breakfast to start the day, making me forget the lower and shoulder pain. As the day progressed my energy got better, and my pain levels returned slowly to normal. Overall the day was better than yesterday.

Activity-wise, after breakfast I got slowly ready for our trip to IKEA in Emeryville. Before leaving, I started the process to restore my web server’s OS back to Ubuntu 14.04. My other option was (is) to continue to figure out why one WordPress install is not worked, but three others are. For now, I will keep the setup as is, running under Ubuntu 14.04 until next year when things are less hectic and I have more time to figure it out what is causing the issue under 16.04, or maybe even 18.04.

As to our visit to IKEA, not much to write about, other than I was able to catch some very good PICTURES inside and around IKEA as planned. One reason for this was that for the inside photos there were not many customers were present. As to the outside photos, especially the one from the top level of the car park were subject to a layer of fog and/or haze. Therefore the outline of San Francisco’s skyline is more of a silhouette style instead of a detailed skyline.

Before leaving IKEA to get back home, we had lunch at their restaurant. The ride back to our home was eventless. We stopped at Lowe’s for some cabinet door rubber bumpers, we found some, but they were way overpriced, we will get them from Amazon instead.

Arriving back home, we did some small item housework, including the cleaning of our new car and our old, by age, cat. That is it for today. In short – It was a better day. The day ended the way each of the last 600 days has ended, with us doing a bit more TV watching to relax before calling it a day.
