2019-06-05 Living with Cancer Day 823

Today was a somewhat good day! It was day one after discharge. I had a good night, no need for oxygen. After breakfast, I took some oxygen in preparation for being outside for two doctor appointments. Being beginners, we had to figure out how best to use oxygen machinery. It did not take too much time for us to figure it out. Returning back home there was a need for oxygen for the rest of the day. Overall, resting helped a lot to get some of my energy back.

The first doctor’s appointment was with the Pulmonologist to start the process to set up a Sleep Study to find out if I have sleep apnea. Right now, at this moment, I don’t think I have sleep apnea if so it should have shown up much earlier. However, anything is possible and therefore if I do have it, I will do what is recommended.

The second appointment was a followup with my Oncology doctor. We went over what happened during my hospital visits and how the numbers are now. The conclusion, I am starting my chemo treatment back up on Wednesday, 12th June, however, we are holding off taking the Pomalyst pill for now.

The rest of the day I rested, checking my oxygen saturation level and taking my vitals. So that’s it for today, it started off being a busy day of doctors visits with lots of rest after lunch.
