2019-11-05 Living with Cancer Day 972

Today was a good day, it started not that way, getting up very early to get my Zarxio Injection at the Cancer Center at 8:15 and from there to be at the Sutter Delta MC for my blood transfusion. When we arrived at the SDMC checked in we found out that in addition to the blood transfusion I was also scheduled to receive platelets transfusion. This makes sense because the latest CBC results showed that the platelet count was down to 19, which was the reason for this week’s treatment being canceled.

The whole treatment took (6) hours. After getting back home I felt so much better energy-wise. I am not sure how long this will last, time will tell. Tomorrow and Thursday I will have my other Zarxio Injections, which should raise my WC. The next CBC results will tell us how good all these transfusions and injects were.

As to the rest of the afternoon/evening, I spend time catching up with my mail, calendar, and app updates, before writing this posting. By the time I was done it was time for dinner. Dianne BBQ some burgers for us, Dianne had my special grilled Hawaiian Burger, Swiss cheese, grilled pineapple, and teriyaki sauce.

That’s it for today.
