2019-11-12 Living with Cancer Day 979

Today was another so-so day. Since my treatment today was too started at 9:00, I got up early at 7:00. My temperature was a bit elevated at 99.1F, hopefully, it will be done by the time of treatment. By the time I finished my morning chores and going downstairs, it was 7:30. I had a good breakfast; creamy cheese on German Rye Bread. After taking my antibiotics and regular medication I got ready for Dianne to pick me up to take me to the cancer center for my treatment.

There is not much to write about the treatment which uses the Kyprolis/Cytoxan drugs. As I mentioned before, I will have to go 2 days in a row for 3 weeks for infusion, followed by one week off. Today was day 1 of week 1, cycle 2, I started the treatment at 9:00 and was done by 2:00 PM (14:00). I encountered so no issues.

To recap, Cycle 1 had only 2 weeks because my platelets were too low for Week 3. We stop for a week during which I had a blood and platelet transfusion and 3 Zarxio Injection to get my numbers up to continue my treatment. The CBC today showed that the numbers got up to continue with the treatment.

After the treatment we went to get our car washed, which took a good hour. Getting back home Dianne hooked me up for hydration. I started to write this blog, but dozed on and off instead. Soon it was time for dinner which Denise had prepared. After dinner, we watched some TV until it was time to call it a day.
