2020-01-05 Living with Cancer Day 1034

Date: 2020 January 05, at 08:45:19 PST
Weather: 46°F Sunny
Location: 4410 Deermeadow Way, Antioch, CA, United States

08:45:19 PST – Late Start
I woke up around 6:00 with the feeling to vomit. Luckily I did not, but my stomach was anything but good. In addition, I was very dizzy. I went back to bed, waking up at 8:45.

Both my stomach and dizziness were at a very low level. I took my temperature which was normal, I, therefore, got up and dressed.

10:15:12 PST – Going to the Apple Store
After getting downstairs I had a light breakfast and took my medication. It did not take too long for me to feel better.

I got my camera ready for taking my daily photos in Walnut Creek since the plan was for us to the shopping around the Apple Broadway Plaza. We had time before leaving as the stores did not open before 11:00.

After arriving at the Apple Store, Denise went shopping and I went outside to take my pictures for the day of the terrace

11:34:50 PST – Lunch @ Boudin
After Denise was done shopping at Apple we went to Boudin for lunch. It was a longer walk than I remembered, requiring a few stops along the way.

I had the kid’s meal, a bowl of tomato soup. I had originally thought to have a soup in a bread bowl, but after having finished my kids’ bowl, I knew that I would not have been able to finish a soup bowl. Many times I just miss calculate the portion sizes, but if Dianne is with me she makes the correct adjustments. I just say, please surprise me, she has never been wrong.

13:33:34 PST – On the Way Home
As always our return trips are not the shortest route. Today we started with a quick stop at CostPlus (World Market) for Dianne and Denise to run in and get the items on their list. In addition, we stopped at Rite Aid, Safeway and Raleys.

15:23:51 PST – Back Home
Arriving back home I walked around the house for a few minutes before resting in my comfortable recliner, it felt so good.

Today was a good day. Yes, I still am not able to walk more than 10 minutes without using a Cane or Walking. I am getting better as far as time and distance like after my first treatment, the recovery time does take, all it takes is patients.

The next two hours Dianne and I worked on booking our train ride from Martinez, CA to Reno this coming weekend. It was amazing how Dianne by talking directly to the reservation department, not only got all her questions answered, but also was given options and discounts not available online.

17:03:34 PST – Dinner Time
It was a long day for all of us, we were lucky to have leftovers, so making dinner was quick. This helped because we still working on getting our reservations etc. all done and verified.

In the background, we watched a bit of the Golden Globe in the background. Finally we got done and had a few moments to relax before calling it a day.

  1. It always makes me happy hearing about your shopping trips with Denise and Diane. I have so many memories of you guys coming home with all sorts of good finds on your weekend shopping trips. And what a great idea for your train ride! The scenery is going to be gorgeous. Can’t wait to hear all about it!
