2020-03-03 Living with Cancer Day 1090

Today was a good day, the weather kept me in during the morning, but it was fine for the afternoon. My pain levels were at an acceptable level. However, my left foot heel had a sore spot that was looked after at bedtime.

Morning – 07:33:46 PST, 46°F Clear, Antioch, CA
I woke up around 6:00 to collect the weather data for Steve and read the morning news until about 7:15. My left foot’s heel was giving me pain when touched, something to watch during the day. I also had stomach problems and dizziness. I got dressed and went to my office to clean out some boxes Dianne had found as part of our Downsizing efforts.

I went downstairs at 8:15 to have my breakfast and medication and was ready at 9:00 to check with Dean on his plan for today. It turned out he had to take his sister for surgery and would not be back until the afternoon.

It put my plan for Dean to help me with my picture taking and dropping by Michaels to pick up a plastic utility box for my outdoor stuff, I had to go to plan B, find a photo subject in my backyard and go tomorrow to Michaels. It turns out that Dianne wanted to go to Trader Joe’s, which is very close to Michaels, so I went with her.

Lunch – 11:03:17 PST, 63°F Clear, Antioch, CA
I started to sort my pictures before I went outside to take today’s pictures. It is a set of tree buds that started to appear on our big shade tree in our backyard. Photo 6 & 7 were taken with a “soft flower” preset.

I will take regular updates of the same tree area to see the progress. I could have set up a time loop, but leaving my equipment outside in cold night temperatures is not a good idea, at least that is my option.

I was done in time for my lunch, which was Vegetable Basil Soup.

Afternoon – 13:03:46 PST, 70°F Clear, Antioch, CA
Since the photo set was a bit larger than normal, it took more time to process. I had all the photos ready to upload to Flickr just before Dianne came to take me shopping.

We went first to Micheals to get a plastic utility box/container for my outdoor office stuff in when not being outside. We found a good 14.5 QT Latch box with a top Tray.

Next and final stop was Trader Joe’s. We got some German Potato Cakes, and other specialty grocery and snack items. After Trader Joe’s we went home.

Back home I sent my outdoor office up and worked on my photos and started on today’s posting.

Evening – 17:34:44 PST, 70°F Clear, Antioch, CA
After dinner I continued with the blog posting and Photo Album. After I was done I watched some TV before I called it a day.
