Quick Update
Today’s Report is short since I spend most of the time getting things ready for tomorrow’s train ride from Martinez to Reno.

As to my health status, overall I felt good, my lower back dis hurt a bit more because of the extra walking and bending to get things together. I did get hydrated in the early afternoon, which will help, as well as a good night’s sleep will take care of those aches and pains.

Getting Up – 07:46:07 PST – 32°F Freezing Fog
I woke up around 6:30 but stayed in bed until 7:45 since it was just too cold, 34F (1C). Before going downstairs, I did my daily chores and spend some time in my office getting some items I need to use my other smart switches as a gang of two downstairs.

Good Morning – 07:04:59 PST

A New Day – January 2nd

07:30:30 PST – Getting up
I got up at 7:30, a bit earlier since getting back home from UCSF. I did this as of next week I will be alone for a few hours in the morning since Dianne will be at work, which is about 5-10 minutes away. After getting dressed and doing some small tasks I went downstairs for breakfast.

Starting the New Year

07:30:00 PST – Getting up
My plan was to get up around 7:45, but Dianne beat me to it by bringing me breakfast to the bed so that we both coUld have it together. It was a great surprise.

After breakfast, I got dressed and ready to work on getting the Smart Switch fixed since the installing during Christmas did not work.

2019-12-02/31 Living with Cancer Day 999-1028

First the good news, I am back blogging daily starting tomorrow. I am not counting today’s entry as if is more of a recap of most of December.

As to the bad news, I won’t provide a detailed recap for the missing entries, 2-31 December, instead I will provide a general recap of my 21 days at UCSF Medical Center @ Parnassus Heights.

2019-11-16 Living with Cancer Day 983

Today was another so-so day, the plan was to get up a bit earlier for Saturday since Dieter, Renee and Carsten had arrived late last night for a short visit. However, I was hit by dizziness and some stomach issues, I, therefore, slept in. Getting downstairs around 9:30 I had a light breakfast before taking my medication. Dianne hooked me up for my hydration so that it was done by lunchtime. I rested during the hydration which helped with my dizziness going down.

2019-11-08 Living with Cancer Day 975

Today was a so-so day, at 9:00 the Sutter Home Care Nurse came by to do her physical checkup, which takes about 30 minutes. I passed with flying colors. The last thing she does is putting back a new needle into my port for having access. Dianne uses it for my daily hydration, and on treatment day it is used for the IV fluids, and it is also used for blood and platelet transfusions. Without a port, access is a simple needle poke in either the right or left arm with a good artery. With the number of blood draws alone a port is a must.

2019-11-01 Living with Cancer Day 968

Today was a so-so day, which besides being a very busy morning, was also a very cold one, we never got above 45F until about 10:00. I got up at 8:00 to get ready for the 9:00 visit with the Home Care Nurse. She comes by once the week to check things out and puts the access needle back into the power port, so that Dianne can now hydrate me again.
