Today was a OK day! It started with me sleeping in until 8:30. After a good breakfast Dianne took me down to Sutter Delta MC for a type and cross. The crossmatching is to find a compatible blood type for transfusion. The results of blood typing will tell you if you are type A, B, AB, or O and if you are Rh negative or positive. Normally this takes no less than one hour, however, thanks to a mix up, today it took over two and a half hours. The crossmatching was only ordered in case the CBC draw scheduled for Monday would show a blood transfusion was needed in addition to the scheduled Platelets transfusion. Because of the delay, a CBC draw was taken as well. As it turns out the CBC results showed the need for a blood transfusion in addition to the platelet transfusion. I will be checking in to the hospital tomorrow morning 9:00.
Today was yet another so-so day! Since I got a 9:00 appointment, I got up around 7:30, only to deal with some Dizziness and Stomach cramps. I ate a small breakfast so that I could take my medication on not an empty stomach. Dianne came at 8:30 to take me for my 9:00 to Sutter Delta MR for a Blood transfusion. It took over an hour before the infusion was started, on the good news side they had other. Breakfast for me and took my lunch order.
Today was a good day, it started not that way, getting up very early to get my Zarxio Injection at the Cancer Center at 8:15 and from there to be at the Sutter Delta MC for my blood transfusion. When we arrived at the SDMC checked in we found out that in addition to the blood transfusion I was also scheduled to receive platelets transfusion. This makes sense because the latest CBC results showed that the platelet count was down to 19, which was the reason for this week’s treatment being canceled.
Today was a good day even with all the sweating all night long from 9:00 PM last night to 6:00 AM today. The sweating was no different that yesterday and the day before, from head to toe. I had to get up very early to be ready for Dianne to take me Sutter Delta Medical Center for my 8:00 Blood Transfusion appointment to get my Hemoglobin count higher. The treatment ended around 1:00 PM, there was some good news, I received breakfast and lunch.
Today was almost repeat of yesterday, if it were not for sweating all night long from 9:00 PM last night to 8:00 AM today. I was sweating as if I was in a sauna from head to toe, the only good news I did sleep through it on only got up around midnight to go to the bathroom. Still, the rest of the day was another Good day, I spent most of the morning at the cancer center receiving my second infusion of the new treatment plan. Early tomorrow morning I will be at Shutter Delta Medical Center getting a blood transfusion because of my Hemoglobin is too low.
Today was a OK Day. I had to get up not later than 7:15 to be ready for Dianne to pick me up at 8:15. I got dressed quickly, when downstairs had a light breakfast, took my morning medication, packed up. Few things for my 4-hour stay at the hospital for the blood transfusion. I made it on time for Dianne to pick me up and take me to the cancer center for my low blood count injection, before checking in at the Sutter Delta Medical Center for the Blood Transfusion.
Today was a bit better, I still did not get a good sleep. After waking up around 7:00, they drew some blood for a ‘type and cross’ for a blood transfusion. Because of my earlier DARA treatment the blood needs to have special antibodies. This means special order from the San Francisco. Since it takes extra time for the blood to be prepared before sending it out, our order was placed at 7:30.
