Foxgloves (Digitalis) – Project 365

Today I decided to take some closeups of our blooming foxgloves (Digitalis) before they are done. TO do so I switched to the Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8 Macro 1:1 lens. I selected a wide open aperture, F/2.8, to blur the background. BTW, the scientific name means “finger-like” and refers to the ease with which a flower of Digitalis purpurea can be fitted over a human fingertip. Enjoy!
