2019-02-12 – Nature Photography – Flowers – Daffodils

This set of Daffodils was taken in our backyard, they opened just a few days ago. Did you know: Generally Daffodils are yellow, and range from yellow-and-white, yellow-and-orange, white-and-orange, pink, and lime-green.

2019-01-20 Living with Cancer – Day 685

Today was another so-so day, starting off the way the last seven days did. Getting up, I noticed tightness in my shoulder which was hurting as well, something that I had not before. The tightness/ain stayed around for most of the day, even after resting at home. In the past, I would take some Tylenol for the pain, which I did but it did not help today. Besides the pain, my mouth was filled with some bad taste. I have had this before and was told that it is a side effect mostly from the chemo treatment. Guess I will have to live with it for now.

2019-01-18 Living with Cancer – Day 683

Today was another so-so day, which seems to be for now a routine day. Taking my Zofran (Stomach) and Meclizine (Dizziness) around 3:00 to 4:00 AM as a preventive measure seems to be working very well. However I still have to deal with the sweating side effect, flushing the radiation toxin when being a bit active. There is no real trigger, the one I can repeat is walking up the stairs, however, my morning walk does not always trigger it. I may sweat during the walk, or at the end, but there are as many days I don’t sweat during my morning walk or at the end. I have not been able to identify a sure repeatable pattern.

2019-01-18 – Nature Photography, The day after the Rain

The first day without rain. Today’s subject was The day after the Rain. All PICTURES were taken outside around my house catching the sky with different cloud formation. There are a few photos that show a heavy overcast with the sun trying to break through. Tomorrow we should see a clearer sky for a bit as the rain will be moving in again for Sunday.

2019-01-16 Living with Cancer – Day 681

Today was another so-so day, I tried something new, I took my Zofran (Stomach) and Meclizine (Dizziness) at 4:00 AM as a preventive measure. It seemed to have worked since neither showed up all day. However, instead, I had to deal with sweating without having been active. As to my Shoulder and Lower Back discomfort/Pain, it started to show up just before the end of my morning walk and stayed active until the resting for a bit after lunch.

2019-01-13 Living with Cancer – Day 678

Today was another so-so day, starting with me sleeping in until 8:30. By the time I had breakfast at 9:30. For most of the day, I had to deal with some earlier discomfort with some Stomach and Dizziness issues. However, thanks to the medication I had taken as a precaution around 6:00 AM I was able to enjoy some Toast and Tea. Not being very active I also started to encounter lower back pain. Because of these ailments, I rested for the whole afternoon and evening.

2019-01-11 – Landscape Photography, Nothing but Clouds

I continued with trying to take pictures of Mount Diablo from new locations was again not an option. Today’s reason was the on and off rain showers that eliminated any chance of walking, leave alone taking any PICTURES. I, therefore, went to the alternative, taking PICTURES of the sky since it had some interesting cloud formation, I called the set Nothing but Clouds.
