Today was a OK day! Dianne had planned to be home by 8:30, I therefore got up around 7:45 to be ready for her to be home. My plan was to stay upstairs to help her with things she had to do. This way I did not have to walk up and down the stairs too often. It turned out Dianne was staying downstairs for the morning as she was having the Tree People come around 10:00. I changed my plan and did the things I wanted to do upstairs before going downstairs. Since I was downstairs shortly after 9:00, I took my Antibiotics and 45 minutes later my other medication.

Today was a good day! It started at 6:30 with me watching Bayern München vs Fortuna Düsseldorf, which Bayern won 4:0. The game was over 8:15, just in time for me to be dressed and ready to go with Dianne and Denise to San Francisco for the Great Dickens Christmas Fair. This is the 37th Season and 20th Year at the Historic Cow Palace. Inside it is the recreation of Old London, the Docks, Nickelby Road, Victoria & Albert Music Hall, and Fish Street with all it pubs and restaurants serving English as well as other food common during the Dickens Period. Some come for the food, others for the theater plays and/or vendors selling old English Merchandise.

As to my Dizziness and Stomach cramps it was at a very, very level. I had a small breakfast so that I could take my medication on not an empty stomach. The rest of the morning was walking and shopping with Dean.

2019-11-17 Living with Cancer Day 984

Today was yet another so-so day, the plan, like yesterday, was to get up earlier to have breakfast with Dieter, or at least up to say goodbye as they are leaving for Valencia (Southern California), a 6-hour drive. I did get up early and was downstairs around 8:30, enough time to talk a bit before seeing them off around 9:00. We got word that they arrived safely at home around 2:00 PM, Dieter is a speed daemon 🙂

2019-11-16 Living with Cancer Day 983

Today was another so-so day, the plan was to get up a bit earlier for Saturday since Dieter, Renee and Carsten had arrived late last night for a short visit. However, I was hit by dizziness and some stomach issues, I, therefore, slept in. Getting downstairs around 9:30 I had a light breakfast before taking my medication. Dianne hooked me up for my hydration so that it was done by lunchtime. I rested during the hydration which helped with my dizziness going down.

2019-11-14 Living with Cancer Day 981

Today was another good day, however, it was very busy starting after getting up @ 8:00. My morning chores included a lot of other stuff which changed my schedule a bit, such as starting my walk from 9:00 to 9:45. Since my upstairs chores included some physical work, I needed to rest for 15 minutes before going downstairs.

Once downstairs I had a quick breakfast and took all my medication. After a short rest, I started my walk with Dean at 9:45 getting back at 10:30.

2019-11-13 Living with Cancer Day 980

Today was another good day, though the night was not. As during the first and second cycle, week 1, day 1, had as a side effect that I would be sweating after going to bed from about 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM from head to toe. I had it again, being preparing, I covered the bed with two large towels, which I change when I had to get up around midnight and later at 3:00 AM. Today’s treatment was part 2 of the Kyprolis/Cytoxan treatment week. Next week will be week 3, after which I will be off for a week. After that, we repeat the whole cycle again.

Today was another so-so day. Since my treatment today was too started at 9:00, I got up early at 7:00. My temperature was a bit elevated at 99.1F, hopefully, it will be done by the time of treatment. By the time I finished my morning chores and going downstairs, it was 7:30. I had a good breakfast; creamy cheese on German Rye Bread. After taking my antibiotics and regular medication I got ready for Dianne to pick me up to take me to the cancer center for my treatment.
