Today was another so-so day. As is normal for weekdays I wake around 5:00 AM when Dianne gets ready for work. I check my temperature and the overall status of my Dizziness, Stomach issues, and Sleep Apnea. This morning was no different, except with the results, I had a high temperature of 100F and was sweating. Because of it, I went back to sleep. By 8:00 the temperature was still high 99.5F, so I stayed in bed. I checked again at 9:00, the same result. At 10:00 still no change, but it was time to get up and go downstairs, which I did.
Today was lazy Sunday morning. I slept in until about 8:30. I got dressed and went downstairs to have some breakfast. Dianne hooked me up to hydration which ended just as it was at lunchtime. Dianne had cleaned my downstairs satellite office (the recliner area). After lunch, I rested a bit since I was running a high temperature of a 99.1F.
Today was another GOOD day, it started with getting up early to have breakfast at Mel’s Diner before going shopping at the Farmers Market in Brentwood. Before going home, we stopped at Walmart to do some more shopping. After getting home and having put away the groceries, etc., Dianne and Denise went back out. I stayed home because my shoulder had cramped up from all that walking around the Farmers Market. I was able to watch the Soccer game of Bayern vs Dortmund, which Bayern won 4:0.
Today was a so-so day, at 9:00 the Sutter Home Care Nurse came by to do her physical checkup, which takes about 30 minutes. I passed with flying colors. The last thing she does is putting back a new needle into my port for having access. Dianne uses it for my daily hydration, and on treatment day it is used for the IV fluids, and it is also used for blood and platelet transfusions. Without a port, access is a simple needle poke in either the right or left arm with a good artery. With the number of blood draws alone a port is a must.
Today was another good day, like yesterday it started with Dean and me having our morning walk followed with Dean drive me to the Cancer Center for my third and last Zarxio Injection. Afterward, we went to Kaiser Permanente for Dean to have his Labs drawn. It took more than the 15 minutes, Dean had said it would. Normally on Thursday, there is a Farmers Market, it seemed it is closed for the season.
Today was a good day, it started with Dean and me having our morning walk. Right afterward Dean drove me to the Cancer Center for my second Zarxio Injection. It took only a few minutes, we then drop by the UPS store to return something to Amazon for exchange. We had a busy morning, our next stop was downtown Antioch as we look for a store by the name “As Is” however, the only store that was on the map was called “Nifty As Is”. Getting to the address the store was empty, making a phone confirm the store was out of business. The good news, we did a lot of walking.
Today was a good day, it started not that way, getting up very early to get my Zarxio Injection at the Cancer Center at 8:15 and from there to be at the Sutter Delta MC for my blood transfusion. When we arrived at the SDMC checked in we found out that in addition to the blood transfusion I was also scheduled to receive platelets transfusion. This makes sense because the latest CBC results showed that the platelet count was down to 19, which was the reason for this week’s treatment being canceled.
Today was another good day, even the night was not as bad a last week after the second treatment day. Knowing what to expect, everything was set up beforehand, helping during the night to lower the sweat. We now have completed treatment cycle 2, what is left to see how the side effects are during the next 5 days. Next week will be number 3, last in the cycle with week 4 being a treatment free recovery week.
Today was a good day, I got up early since Dianne was going to pick me at 8:30 for my 9:00 treatment. There is not much to write about the treatment which uses the Kyprolis/Cytoxan drugs. As I mention last week, I will have to go 2 days in row for 3 weeks for infusion, followed off one week. Today was day 1 of week 2, I started the treatment at 09:00 and was done by 2:30 PM (14:30). It will be interested to find out if tonight I will be sweating all night again.
Today was another so-so day, the good news, the wind from yesterday has gone, for now, there is a chance we may face another windy period. As to my vitals, around the time to get up, my temperature was 99.1F with my stomach not doing to good. I took some Zofran for the stomach to settle down before going downstairs. I only had toast for breakfast with some flat (bobbles remove) Diet Ginger Ale. As for the rest of the morning, I rested, actually dozing off every so often, checking my temperature a few times, which was between 99.1F & 100.0F.
