Today was another Good day. Because I had to delay my walk until after the visit from the HomeCare Nurse at 9:00, I did not get up 8:00. I took my time with my morning chores not to start sweating, it worked, dizziness and stomach issues were at a very low level, my temperature was 97.9F. The nurse arrived at 9:10 and put a new needle into my power port for the weekly hydration. She checked all my vitals before leaving around 9:45. I went walking with Dean at 10:00.
Today was another Good day. Again I did not get up at my normal time because I wanted to be rested for our trip to UCSF. I got up at 8:30, with some dizziness but no stomach issues. I did my morning chores before going downstairs. By the time I got downstairs I started to sweat which would not stop until about 9:30, shortly before we left at 10:00 for UCSF.
Dianne pick me up at we left at 10:00 for our 12:00 appointment with Dr. Nina Shaw our UCSF Oncology doctor. Our drive to UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at 400 Parnassus Ave, San Francisco, CA was about 1hr 45min for 41 miles (ca. 66 km).
The appointment was about giving us an update of our options on moving forward. For now the CAR T-cell trial is full, even if there is a place, my over all numbers are not all where they need to be. The goal now is to get them there. To start we will go ahead with the new treatment the Kyprolis/Cytoxan drugs. I will have to go 2 days in row for 3 weeks for infusion, followed off one week.
We will closely watch each week what the numbers do, as well what side effects develop. The goal is for the numbers to improve and hopefully the side effects are at a minimum to not have bad days. For the trial the looking for candidates that are in good shape not having to deal with bad days, because they will have to be able to handle the bad side effects the trial may produce. Our next meeting will be a Video meeting on the 4th November.
After getting back home and Dianne set me up with the hydration. For the next hour and a half we both watched some TV before it was time to get supper ready. I spend the time to get my system ready for the future video meetings with UCSF in the future, staring in November. Which will be so nice not to have to drive for simple F2F appointment to San Francisco.
That’s it for today, after dinner we watched TV for the rest of the evening until it was time to call it a day.
Today was a Good day. I did not get up as normal because my temperature at 7:20 was 100.0F. I therefore stayed in bed hoping to get the temperature down soon since I had an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner at 10:00 about my next treatment. I was in luck my temperature drop to 98.5F before 9:00. I got up by 9:00 and got ready for Dianne to pick me up for my 10:00 appointment.
Today was RECOVERY day. Since I stop reporting stopping each the day around dinner time, what I am about to report took place yesterday around 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM. However, before writing about it, let me tell you that I still will post about yesterday because I was not able to do so as I was going very early to bed, reason to be in that delayed report.
As to Today/Yesterday, before I was going upstairs as always, between 7:30 PM 8:00 PM, however around 6:30 PM things changed quickly as my system wanted me to vomit. Lucky for me I had an Emesis Bag handy, which I filled quit a bit. I went upstairs to get ready for bed. Around 9:00 clock my second vomit episode started. Again the Emesis Bag was a great help. After everything that should have gone out went out, I went again back to bed.
Today was Not a Good day. It started off with me waking up at 7:45, no real dizziness nor stomach pains. However, after finishing my mornings chores, things starting to turned around towards the negative side. In addition to the sweating the dizziness and stomach issues were back.
Today was a so-so day. I was looking forward to a good day, but sadly it did not turn out that way. I got up around 7:45 without any stomach issues or dizziness, doing my morning chores and getting dressed to go out to Walnut Creek for Denise’s visit at the Gem Stone show. Which at the end did show some little bit of increase of sweating and stomach issues.
After getting downstairs Dianne had made me a Toasted Western for breakfast, which was excellent, however my body temperature was not, has risen to 99.1F.
Today was almost another Good Day. Getting up without any stomach issues or dizziness, that changed a bit after getting downstairs after I had a full but light breakfast. I took my temperate which was 97.9F, down from 98.1F taken 2 hours before, however my stomach did not feel to good. BTW, we decided to start our walk at 9:00, which allowed the temperature to be a bit higher and have more sun light. Our morning walk was a good one, at the end my stomach started to cramp up a bit more and more often.
Today was a Good Day. After getting downstairs from my morning chores, my sweat issue was back, this time it was a lot of sweat. No stomach issues today, nor dizziness. I took my temperature which was 97.3F, up from 96.41F taken 2 hours before. Since it is Thursday, I collected the garbage before going downstairs. I had a good breakfast, but the sweating did not stop which made it difficult to dress up for my morning walk. As it turns out, Dean informed me that it was very cold and the wind speed was too strong to walk.
Today was almost another Good Day. After getting downstairs from my morning chores, my sweat issue was back, this time it was a lot of sweat. My stomach was good at the start being downstairs, so I had full but light breakfast. I took my temperate which was 99.7F, up from 98.1F taken 2 hours before. The sweat, light fever and serve body temperature were enough to not walk this morning.
Today was a Good Day. My day starts always the same, get up around 7:30, do my morning chores before going downstairs. Once downstairs, I check my vitals, have breakfast, and get ready for my morning walk.
Depending on my health issues, such as neck/shoulder pains, severe stomach cramps or high fever, only to mention a few, I may not walk, either way I will rest until I feel better and are able to do what I may had planed for the morning and afternoon.
