Today was a BETTER day, with me taken my stomach and Dizziness medication as a precaution at 4:00 AM. The Medication seemed to work since I had no issues getting up at 8:00 getting dressed and having had breakfast. However, shortly after that, my stomach got a bit quizzy and the dizziness was back at full discomfort.
Today was another good day! Health-wise things were again almost normal. I had some early stomach cramps due to the side effects of the Dilaudid I had taken a few days ago. The good news, having the cramps now followed by the related bowel movements, ended the Dilaudid cycle, things were now back to normal. As to my shoulder pain, it was at an acceptable level, which I lowered with some Tylenol. No other health related issues showed up for the rest of the day, this included no ankle or hip pains.
Today was a good day. No dizziness, stomach problems, or bone pain getting up this morning. I did have some back pain at the start of the day, which I controlled with Tylenol. No health-related issues during the day which was a good sign that the side effects from the treatment day seem to be over, especially those from the Zometa.
Today was like yesterday, today was another almost good day. Still having dizziness and stomach problems in the early morning, which after taking a Zofran helps controlling it for the rest of the day. In addition, I also had some back pain at the start of the day, which I controlled with Tylenol. During the day I encountered a few times, for short periods, bone pain on my right hip and left knee. It lasts each time for about 10 minutes. These pains are the side effects of the Zometa and are a normal occurrence after a treatment. They normally stop after a week.
Today was another good day with no unexpected complication. Being the weekend we did not get up too early. Dianne prepared my weekend breakfast, tomato, avocado and turkey bacon on toasted multigrain bread. Since Dieter, Carsten and Renee were here for a visit and it was Dieter’s Birthday, Dianne prepared for Dieter and Carsten theirs on homemade waffles instead of toast. Renee went for breakfast with her father. After breakfast, Dianne and Carsten joined me for my morning walk.
Today was a good day with somewhat unexpected complication at the start of the day. For most of the day, there were no side effects or pains (the exception being the surgery related shoulder pain). As to the complication, today was what we call “Patch Day“. In the morning Dianne changes my Fentanyl patches which is my baseline pain control. The patch is a transdermal system delivering 100 mcg/hr for 72 hrs. I use two patches for 200 mcg. This morning after changing the patches, I suddenly got very dizzy and my stomach got queasy. I took immediately Zofran and Meclizine which got it under control. By the time I was ready for my walk, everything was back to normal.
Another good day with no side effects or pains during the day. This is day three since taking Pomalyst which in the past showed side effects by this time. The only pain I encountered was my shoulder pain because of the extended walking activities without my walking sticks. I normally use a cane during regular walking and walking sticks when going for my exercise walks. I guess there is a difference that is noticeable and causes pain in my shoulder. Something to work on to figure out.
Today was a better day. The good news, no diarrhea! However, I played it safe by having still a special BRAT breakfast. The rest of the day was diarrhea free. After resting a bit I went for the daily morning walk. However today I walked alone since Dean had another commitment.
Today turn into a so-so day, which started with getting up around 7:00 and having a bagel for breakfast. Health wise I was a bit under the weather, hoping that walking would take care of it. Both my hips bothered me all day, the pain level varied from low to medium. Interesting enough my shoulder discomfort was at a low level. However, I never really could shake being down all day.
Another good day, after a slow start. Waking up at my normal time I did not feel good, Dianne made me stay in bed with taking a ZoFran to get my no stomach aches settle. It worked, by 7:00 my stomach aches and dizziness were down to the normal levels. I started to get ready for my morning walk with Dean, when I got a text message from him. It said:
Hey I can’t walk today. Had an overnight stay at Kaiser fill you in on the details when I get out
Dean believed that he would be released around lunch, I therefore decided to go ahead with my morning walk alone.
