2020-01-30 Living with Cancer Day 1058
Healthwise, this being the 4th day of the new treatment, the main side effect is dozing off and dizziness. As to the pain locations and levels, no change from the days before. I can walk with the cane for about 5 to 10 minutes depending on the activity. If I move around too much my lower backstops me from doing more. For now, I can live with it, hoping I can make the adjustment that will help in the elimination or at least reducing the side effects.

Today was another good day! Health-wise the day started off without any dizziness, stomach issues or hip and ankle pains. My shoulder’s comfort/pain was at a very low level, however, as the day progressed the pain started to increase, to a level that I was able to keep in check with some Tylenol. Today, for the first time since about 4 months, if not more, I have that metallic taste in my mouth again.

Today was a day I have never encountered before. One phrase sums it all up:

Today started off where the pain left me last night and all night. Besides the pain there was no signs of dizziness or nausea in the morning. I delayed my breakfast for an hour before having a light one, toast and tea. My pain did not go away, I did take a Dilaudid around 9:00, the pain level dropped a little bit but not by much. I decided to go for a short walk with Dean little bit after 11:00, getting back by 12:00. Intresting enough after getting back home from the walk, the pain level was very low.

Today’s posting is short and can be summed up as having had an excellent day. Before providing the details, let me mention that today was a day spend around the Vacaville Premium Outlets Stores. All the walking was done around the stores.
Starting with the health part, no complains, no signs of dizziness or nausea this morning. After Breakfast and morning medication it was time for a 45 minute drive to Vacaville, arriving in time for the opening store hours. We spend about 9 hours all together driving and shopping. From a health perspective I watched my pain levels very carefully. The moment some pain surfaced I would slow down and/or sit-down until it was under control. I was lucky there were not many instances of the pain breaking through. As I said, an excellent day.
