2020-02-11 Living with Cancer Day 1070

Today was not a bad day, pain levels were god for most of the day, and that falling asleep was kept to a minimum which allowed me to do yesterday’s report as well. However, I did hope to get another article on my backlog, which issue with concentration did not help me to do so.

Today was a bad day. My pain levels were high after getting up, especially my lower back went to level 8, resting got it back 1, as to my shoulder pain level went from 3 to a 5. This went all day long that way. I did not get much done, thanks to my chemo brain, many tasks needed to repeated a few times.

This Morning – 08:00:12 PST, 37°F Clear, Antioch, CA
Nothing special for the first part of the morning, sending weather data to Steven, get up around 8:00, downstairs at 8:45 to have breakfast and take my medication by 9:00.

Waking up the pain level was 1 for my back and a 3 for my shoulder. After getting up the shoulder pain for my lower back rose quickly to level 8, my shoulder at a level 5. Resting brings the levels back to 1 and 3.

Before going upstairs I started an online chat with AT&T to resolve my login issue, it took over an hour, completing the chat being downstairs after my breakfast.

Checking with Dean, we went to the AT&T store in Walnut Creek to check out the new iPhones, but they did not have any since the day before they were robbed. We left and since we were on the other side of Mount Diablo, we drove through the area to find a good location. However, we did not, the location we visited should have been perfect, except man-made hills or fences behind the homes blocked most of the good view.

As an alternative, I took some pictures in Dean’s garden taken picture of his Lemon Tree. Afterward, I went home as it was lunchtime.

Lunch and More – 11:55:17 PST, 54°F Clear, Antioch, CA
I got home just in time for Lunch. I warmed up yesterday’s leftover, Dianne’s Mother recipe for the Cheese Macaroni Casserole with some tea biscuits, it still tasted good after the second warmup.

My lower back pain had reached its highest level, requiring me to rest immediately. For most of the early afternoon, I got nothing done, I was not able to concentrate on anything, falling behind with my tasks.

I had to update my calendar with new entries 3 times before I got it right, the same was true for some address book changes.

I also started to get ready for my visit to KTVU tomorrow morning.

Around 4:00 I finally got my mind back on track, just in time for working on my blog entry.

Dinner and more – 17:07:15 PST, 59°F Clear, Antioch, CA
For dinner I had a half Tuna Sandwich, it was very good.

Not much more to write, after dinner, I continued working on today’s posting watching TV in the background. After posting it I rested watching TV until it is time to retire.

Today was not a bad day. My pain levels were high after getting up, the medication lowered it a bit to a level that was acceptable for most of the day. However, at the end of the day, the right shoulder pain picked at a level 8. I hope it stays that way until 9:00 when I can take another Break Down medication.

I got up at 7:30, a bit earlier since getting back home from UCSF. I did this as of next week I will be alone for a few hours in the morning since Dianne will be at work, which is about 5-10 minutes away. After getting dressed and doing some small tasks I went downstairs for breakfast.

07:30:00 PST – Getting up
My plan was to get up around 7:45, but Dianne beat me to it by bringing me breakfast to the bed so that we both coUld have it together. It was a great surprise.

After breakfast, I got dressed and ready to work on getting the Smart Switch fixed since the installing during Christmas did not work.

2019-10-07 Living with Cancer Day 943

Today was another Not So Good Day. I got up again round 7:30 to do my morning chores before going downstairs. Getting downstairs my headache from yesterday was back, this time at a much lower level. Today, the walk was very taxing on my system, I therefore rested watching some recorded TV games such as the NFL Raiders game, and the Bundesliga game by Dortmund.

2019-05-30 Living with Cancer Day 817

Today was a good day, a continuation of yesterday. After a slow start, I got downstairs to start the day. BTW, the night was normal, yes – just normal not extremely better than at the hospital as I had expected. However, being home and following the treatment instruction has lifted my spirits and energy. I did two outside walks, measuring my Oxygen Saturation (Sp02). They are on the positive borderline, which is not bad for a patient that was just released the day before.

2019-04-15 Living with Cancer Day 770

Today was a bad Day. Getting up this morning all bad symptoms were present, dizziness, stomach cramps, and sweating. In addition to the standard symptoms I had a new one; a sore throat. The good news, all symptoms, except the sore throat, had stopped after my morning walk. The good news did not last long, after returning from my trip to the post office I started to cough. For the rest of the day, I had to deal with a sore throat and a cough.
