2018-03-25 Recovery Day 384

Today was a better day. No dizziness getting up this morning. After checking my vitals I enjoyed a good breakfast. Before going for my morning walk, I did some cleanup work. The weather this morning was rather cold, even when in the sunny part of the street. It did not help that it was also very windy. Getting back home from my walk, I noticed that my back pain has resurfaced, requiring some rest.

2018-03-03 Recovery Day 362

Today was a somewhat good day. Being Saturday we did not get up until about 7:30 and started the day with breakfast at home. I did still encounter lightheadedness, however it did not last long, nor did it stop us from going for my morning walk. Getting back home it started to rain again, something which happened all day long, rain, sun and even hail, reminding us that it is still winter.

Black Diamond Mines Regional Park – Take 3

As in week 1 because of the heavy rain, the access road closed because mudslides, the results of the overnight heavy rain. Plan B for day 6 was to take photos of the very colorful sunrise, that was not an option today. That left me with plan C.

Down by the San Joaquin River – Take 3

Today was a bad day for outdoor photography, noting but rain. However that did not stop me from going down to the Municipal Fishing Dock to take photos of the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta as I did the last two weeks. I put on my rain gear, including the protective plastic sleeve for the camera, and quickly took the four photos of the same sceneries as before for comparison to days 4 and 11.

Catching some Rain – Project 365

Today we got some unusual “June” rain preventing me to seeking out another trail to walk on. So instead I tried catching some rain related event, such as water coming out of a rain gutter downspout. These four photos were taken at different shutter speeds to see if I can catch separate water drops. To do so at the faster end I had to bump up the ISO to 16000 ignoring the picture noise for this test.

Rainy Day Photos – Project 365

This may be the last day of rain for us so I decided to try some rainy day photography using different objects and camera settings to see what turns out best.

The first photo is of a glass having outside that collected some rain drops. I used my Sony SLT 77 with the Sony DT 16–105mm F/3.5–5.6 (SAL–16105) lens. Settings were ISO 400, Full Frame equivalent Focal Length @ 52mm, F/5 & 1/60 sec.
