2018-04-18 Recovery Day 408

Another cold day, just like yesterday. Health wise, it was another good day as far as no treatment side effects. However I did have some back pain which I kept under control with some Tylenol. As to getting started this morning, after getting up I checked my vitals, which were fine, followed by breakfast. Afterwards I took my morning medication. Since today is my day off from treatment, I had signup to be the host at Big Break Visitor Center from 9:00 to 12:30. Ed came by at 8:30 to pick me up sine he too had signed up.

2018-04-12 Recovery Day 402

Today was a excellent day. The day started with no stomach issue nor any dizziness. I had a good breakfast before I started to get my walking stuff together. After a short rest and taking my regular morning medication, I needed to figure out what to wear this morning since the temperature was rather low and the forecast did not indicate a rather fast increase.

2018-04-04 Recovery Day 394

Today was another So-so day. Still, like yesterday, after getting up, I had some minor stomach crams. I therefore had again only toast and tea for breakfast. Today is my first Wednesday at which I don’t have Infusion treatment, which I will have next Wednesday. I was therefore able to attend the Docent Delta News and Coffee Talk meeting. Dean picked me up around 8:00 to drop me of Visiting Center (VC)>

2018-04-01 Recovery Day 391

Today was a excellent day. Like yesterday it started with sleeping in and getting up having a good breakfast. Thanks to Alice’s fresh farm eggs we had Eggs Benedict – Thanks Alice! Health-wise there were no issues, it is safe to assume that the immunization shoots did not cause any side effects – Things turned out well!

BTW, I got the lab results for the three proteins (Immunoglobulin IgA, IgG, IgM). The numbers start to look good, especially the IgA which has moved from 932, 1459, 449 to 254 which is in range 81 – 463. You may recall that it was as high as 7500 when the cancer was identified.

Today was another good day. The day started of with a good breakfast follower by checking my mail. In it was a mail from Ed Valenzuela asking if I would go for a little walk to the pier at Big Break? We agreed to go around 11:00. After the mail check it was time for Dean and I to walked as we do every weekday.

2017-10-15 Recovery Day 223

We got up around 7:00 and had breakfast shortly afterwards. A bit after 9 o’clock Dianne and I went to the Big Break Park. We had planned to go yesterday but it was to cold and windy. Today the weather was on our side. It took us about 30 minutes to walk slowly to the fishing pier. Dianne snapped a few photos of me before we started our way back. Instead of going back home at the end of our walk, we entered the Visiting Center to see who of the staff was there. I was in luck that a) that the center was empty of visitors and b) Nicole Gange was there, Dianne and I provided an update about my treatment and what was lying ahead. By the time we got back home it was almost lunch time.

2017-08-10 Recovery Day 157

Today’s report is rather short. The morning started with stomach pain that lasted to about 8:00 AM. Which was great since it was the time for our team call. Shortly after the team call the dizziness came back, followed by stomach quizzyness. It ended with me having to vomit and resting afterwards. Not a good start!

At Big Break – Week 6

Continuing this week with using my zoom-lenses for leaning to understand their fields of view as well as comparing it against prime lenses with the same focal length. This week’s lens I will be using my favored wide-angle Sony DT 16-105mm lens.

Contra Loma Regional Park – Take 5

Day three for using my super wide-angle lens. Due to my time restrictions this week and the fog still hanging around, I took a chance and visited Contra Loma Regional Park, and was a bit in luck with the fog on its way out.

Since purchase of this lens I have had not many opportunities to use it. Now after three days I start seeing the potential for landscape compositions.
