Contra Loma Regional Park – Take 5

Day three for using my super wide-angle lens. Due to my time restrictions this week and the fog still hanging around, I took a chance and visited Contra Loma Regional Park, and was a bit in luck with the fog on its way out.

Since purchase of this lens I have had not many opportunities to use it. Now after three days I start seeing the potential for landscape compositions.

This week marks the start of using my zoom-lenses for leaning to understand their fields of view as well as comparing it against prime lenses with the same focal length. comparison. Weather-wise today was almost the same as on Day 5 with the exception to shoot the same sceneries was again difficult because the trail still is not accessible as it is even muddier than on Day 12 thanks to the additional amount of rain. I am not complaining, we need the rain.

Black Diamond Mines Regional Park

Last week for Day 6 the plan was to visit Black Diamond Mines, but because of the heavy rain, the access road was flooded and there were also some mudslides, effectively closing the park. No such issues today as we have some great sunshine just asking to visit the park, which is one of the best in the Bay area.

Contra Loma Regional Park – Take 2

Weather-wise today is not a good day to take photos for two reason, a) very overcast and wet because of light rain; and b) trying to shoot the same sceneries is difficult because the trail I walked on last week is not accessible as it turned in to a path of deep mud.
