Today was almost another Good Day. After getting downstairs from my morning chores, my sweat issue was back, this time it was a lot of sweat. My stomach was good at the start being downstairs, so I had full but light breakfast. I took my temperate which was 99.7F, up from 98.1F taken 2 hours before. The sweat, light fever and serve body temperature were enough to not walk this morning.

Today was a Good Day. My day starts always the same, get up around 7:30, do my morning chores before going downstairs. Once downstairs, I check my vitals, have breakfast, and get ready for my morning walk.

Depending on my health issues, such as neck/shoulder pains, severe stomach cramps or high fever, only to mention a few, I may not walk, either way I will rest until I feel better and are able to do what I may had planed for the morning and afternoon.

2019-09-30 Living with Cancer Day 935

Today was a Busy Day. I woke up around 8:30, had breakfast and got ready for our trip to UCSF. Our appointment was for 3:00, but were informed if we got there earlier we may be able to see our doctor before 3:00. It turned out that way, which helped us bet the evening rush hour.

Getting back home, Dianne hook me up for my hydration. There was not much activity as I dozed off a number of times. I tried to overcome that problem, but no ons Being downstairs did not change my temperature and dozing off. I finally went back upstairs to call it a day and fall a sleep. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Today was *** not a good*** day. I had to get up very early for my 7:00 whole body PET/CT. The procedure starts with me being injected a radiated sugar solution. After that I have to wait about an hour for the solution to spread through my body. Finally, I get to lie down on the PET/CT slap, get position right. Since the room is very cold, I am covered in layers of blankets. The whole scan took about an hour. By the time I got back home almost 3 hours have gone by. Lying on that slap for an hour with very little cushioning was not good for my neck, shoulder and back. In addition, my stomach started to act up, I therefore decided to go back to bed and have a sleep until noon.

Today was not a bad day. It started off with getting up at my regular time, 7:15 to be ready at 8:30 for my morning walk with Dean. Today’s walk was a bit longer, something that has not happened over the last few days. The increase is only about 5 minutes, but that is better than nothing. However, getting back inside, I did feel that my back pain had increased since I started the walk. It took me about 15 minutes to get the pain level back down.

Today was another so-so day. It started off with getting up at my regular time, 7:15 to be ready at 8:30 for my morning walk. My vitals at that time were BP 115/74 P65, Temp 97.5. I had for breakfast the left over half of yesterday’s breakfast from Denny’s. It was something Dianne and I have been doing for sometime, split our breakfasts in half, since it is just too much, even the senior 55+ sizes. I was ready at 8:30 for my walk with Dean, but it tired out he slept in, we therefore started our walk at 8:45.

I am sorry for not having blogged the last three days, but things are a bit hectic with doctor appointments and hydration, which takes between 3 and 4 hours for 2 Liters. The bad news, they still don’t know what causes the sudden fever and increase in some small sores on my lower legs and arms. Both are identified as possible side effects. On the bright side for the last week and a half, I have had no night sweating, however, I do have it every so often during the day lasting for an hour or two.

Getting Up

I am up a bit early to be available to the workers that are there to receive the cement for our patio, replacing the 28-year old interlocking bricks that have started to move up creating a walking hazard.

Getting downstairs I had some brain flakes for breakfast since my stomach was a bit off. I also decided not to walk since my hip pain flared up last night and still has not 100% recover.

Resting until Lunch

After having taken my antibiotics at 9:00 I rested for most of the time. I did have a FaceTime call with Hannelore and Peter in Germany for about 30 minutes. Hannelore was in some pain when the screen first open, the reason being that she has a broken disc in her back, which limits her movements for quite some time.

My resting was more of watching some TV for about 45 minutes, followed with getting out of the recliner and walking around for about 5 minutes, the time my lower back started to hurt.

The other task I fulfilled was to take some pictures of the progress on the concrete work for Dianne.

Lunch Time

Not much to write about, I had from Healthy Choice a Sesame Chicken with Rice lunch box. Five minutes in the microwave and you have a great lunch. Their selection is great. After that I rested for a bit. Dean came over to check on the progress of the concrete work.

Since the smoothing of the concrete surface was still to be done and would take about 1 to 2 hours, the plan for Dean and me to go to Kaiser for Dean’s Glasses and after that to Costco and maybe Sam’ Club for BodyArmor and water. Instead, I stayed home resting and Dean worked on his fence.

Doing some shopping

Guess what, Dianne came home around 3:00 and Dean came across the street for a chat. I ended up with me joining Dean to go to Kaiser to pick something up before going to Harbor Freight to get some paint brushes. By the time we got back it was dinner time.

Getting up

Being Sunday I slept in. Getting up I quickly got upstairs routine behind me and went downstairs for breakfast to meet the time constrains for taking the antibiotics on time. Since leaving the hospital I take three different antibiotics, two for the fungus the other is a broad spectrum bacterial one to cover what ever caused my high fever.
