2019-07-12 Living with Cancer Day 858

Today was almost good day. I change my morning routine to start at 6:45 instead of 7:00. The extra 15 minutes eliminate the rush to be ready for the start of the morning walk. Getting up I had some light dizziness, very little stomach ache, but lots of sweating. Today my shoulder pain was very low so instead of taking in preparation to not have my shoulder plate’s pain get out of control, I went back to take two Tylenol instead of Dilaudid. It turned out that the Tylenol did work.

Today was a better day. I got up around 6:30 to start my morning routine early since ED a Docent college was joining my walk with Dean at 8:00. I had some light dizziness very little stomach ache but lots of sweating. In preparation to not have my shoulder plate’s pain get out of control, I decided to take a Dilaudid (8 mg) with my morning breakfast as it did yesterday. I was the only time took it, I could take it every 8 hours, but decided against it. Like yesterday relaxing in the recliner or being in bed did not drive the pain in to a high pain level. BTW, my Fentanyl Patches will be increased by another 50 mg that should take care of the shoulder pain.

Today was a SO-SO day. I got up around 6:50 to start my morning routine, and again like the last few days after getting up I was hit by dizziness, stomach aches, sweating and shortness of breath. I took some oxygen to over come the shortness of breath. However, as the morning progressed the shoulder pain became too much, I decided to take a Dilaudid pill.

Today was not a good day. I got up around 6:50 to start my morning routine, and like yesterday, after getting up I was hit by dizziness, stomach aches, sweating and shortness of breath. I took some oxygen to overcome the shortness of breath. At 8:00 Dean and I went for our walk. As I mentioned before the portable oxygen concentrator only pushes O2 out into the nose when it detects me breathing in. I have always been a mouth breather. It takes me some effort to remember, also when talking, the mouth is the main input for the O2. These two handicaps make it harder to walk outside, forcing me to stop a few times to take in some O2.

Today was a bad day. I got up around 6:50 to start my morning routine with no problem Dianne prepared my breakfast as I got ready to watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the USA vs the Netherlands at 8:00. After a scoreless first half, the USA won the game 2:0, defending its 2017 title win, altogether the USA has won the title four times, with the 2015 and 2019 being back to back titles.

2019-07-06 Living with Cancer Day 853

Today was a so-so day. Still, some fireworks during the night, but overall I had a good sleep, even with some pain across my shoulder that I got by twisting the wrong way during taking my evening shower. I got up around 6:50 to start my morning routine with no problem. As to my intense tingle in my left leg from the toe unto past my hip, was no longer notable. For my shoulder pain I took some Tylenol before staring my morning walk with Dean. For most of the day I rested which turned out to me dozing off.

2019-07-05 Living with Cancer Day 852

Today was a BETTER day. The day started long before 9:00 PM the evening before with illegal fireworks that finally ended around 2:00 AM. In between I dozed a few times, before getting some sleep when the fireworks finally ended. Some fireworks were not what we would expect such as shooting stars, they were just noise markers, some as loud as a grenade that was heard miles away.

I got up at 6:50 to start my morning routine with no problem. As to my intense tingle in my left leg from the toe unto past my hip, it was present at a very low level, almost undetectable. BTW, I stop taking Ibuprofen since it is wrong for me to self-diagnose. Dianne reminded me that Ibuprofen is counter to the blood thinners I take. There are other medication that may interfere with. I will report the issue to my doctor and let her figure out what it may be

Today was NOT a GOOD but not a BAD either day. The day started at 3’o’clock when I woke up with intense tingle in my left leg from the toe unto past my hip. Since I could not get to sleep I issued my iPhone, the only common issue I found was that is due to possible pressure on my sciatic nerve. There are so many suggestions, the one suggestion I found was in a number of articles on different medical type websites.

2019-07-03 Living with Cancer Day 850

Today was NOT a GOOD day. The day started off with no lower back pain and the usual shoulder pain. However, after getting downstairs my stomach acted up. I rested for 15 minutes which did not help to improve the situation. I mastered to have some toast before taken my medication. I continued resting until it was time for Dieter to drop me of at the Cancer Center for my all-day Chemo Treatment.

2019-07-02 Living with Cancer Day 849

Today was a better day than yesterday. Again, the day started off as planned, still no issues with my new morning routine. I woke up with no lower back pain and the usual shoulder pain. After breakfast, I rested to get some relief of the pain before my morning walk with Dean. Today’s walk was better than yesterday, but still not as good as last week. We managed to walk for about 0.5 miles, a bit below last week’s 0.6 miles. Halfway through our walk one of my skies broke off my walker. Luck we did buy a second pair yesterday. Stopping by at home, Dean put on the new set and off we went to finish our walk.
