Today was a not a bad day, except for the outside temperature that hit 107F (42C). But before we got there, I had to deal with lightheadedness after breakfast and my FaceTime session with Ray. The solution is to take yet another pill (Meclizine 25mg). After taken the medication the lightheadedness disappeared. In addition to the medication it is very important that I drink water, which I do.
Yesterday was a bad day, a very bad day. The good news I had a good night sleep. Waking up this morning there was a sign that we may have a repeat but as it turned out over the next 9 hours, things stated to improve. The main issues to deal with was the lightheadedness and queasy stomach. The solution was to review my medication regiment and make necessary adjustments. It seemed to work together with some walking every so often.
I was hoping that today would be a good day continuing where we left of yesterday. I was wrong, very wrong. I woke up with no pain or discomfort like yesterday day. This changed a bit just after breakfast as lightheadedness started. It was not to bad so I called Paul via FaceTime to catch up we had not connected for awhile. I even started to do some more house cleaning, going thru some old documents, throwing out what no longer was needed. That’s when things started to change, my lightheadedness increased and my shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain started again. I had to stop with my cleanup efforts.
What a difference a day can make. Woke up with no pain or discomfort like yesterday day. This changed a bit just before breakfast as lightheadedness started, which forced me to stay in bed. After breakfast and a bit of rest, I help Dianne with cleaning out our wardrobe. I guess after 27 years besides clothing lost of other stuff has found its way in this oversized wardrobe. The good news besides getting the job done, was the fact the only pain I had by the end was the standard shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain but no upper leg/buttock pain.
The day started with the trent continuing with only the shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain and a bit of upper leg/buttock pain. It lasted that way through the visit of the Home Care Nurse, but shortly after things turned bad. It started with lightheadedness and stomach pain. Shortly after I had to vomit, all that came out was fluid that tasted very bitter. Next my throat felt like that there is something blocking it. But swallowing is not a problem indicating there is nothing stuck.
The trent is continuing, waking up with only the shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain and a bit of upper leg/buttock pain. This morning the plan was to sort through my wardrobe finding item that don’t fit me but are good enough for donating to any of our local charitable organizations. I did that; just in time to watch the FIFA Confederations Cup final, Germany vs Chile. Germany did it, not in their normal style, but who cares when you win in the end.
Since the end of my IV session on Tuesday, my pain waking up for the last 4 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) has been the same for each day, shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain and a bit of upper leg/buttock pain. This morning I am upstairs resting in preparation for visiting the local super hardware store. The timer turning on our outdoor fountain needs replacing. We also have a wasps problem that needs to be addressed. All we need for now is the refills for our wasp trap.
Today’s pain, is a repeat of the last two days yesterday, it is the shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain and a bit of upper leg/buttock pain at a PL5 level. It does not last that long as I can walk it off. This morning I am upstairs resting in preparation for the visit of my Premonus’ co-workers for lunch. Every hour I get up and walk around for a few minutes. Sometimes instead of walking I do some house cleaning. Since falling ill my office became a storage room, it is time to review what belongs and what does not. To ensure that I don’t hurt my back, I only touch stuff that does not require me to twist and/or bend my upper body. I am also limited to lifting things that are less then 10lbs.
Today’s pain, like yesterday, is mainly the Shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain. I said mainly because once in awhile, a bit of upper leg/buttock pain shows up at a PL5 level. It does not last that long as I can walk it off. The plan for today was to rest as much as possible so that I can attend the Docent Appreciation Dinner @ the East Bay Regional Park District – Big Break Regional Shoreline. This was my first trip, other than going to the cancer center, since being informed about having cancer.
Today is almost a repeat of yesterday, instead of the chemo session I spend 2 1/2 hours with my Health Insurance agent setting up my online Medicare and Gap Insurance accounts. The issue is again my first name with that funny extra character in the middle of it. After a number of phone calls it is all done. The next step is to review the submitted claims against what my payments are. That’s for another day next week. Regarding my pain, like yesterday the only pain is the Shoulder-back-shoulder surgery pain level had increased to a 7 during the work with my insurance broker.
