Being Sunday I slept in. Getting up I quickly got upstairs routine behind me and went downstairs for breakfast to meet the time constrains for taking the antibiotics on time. Since leaving the hospital I take three different antibiotics, two for the fungus the other is a broad spectrum bacterial one to cover what ever caused my high fever.

You may have noticed that I did not publish yesterday. The reason being, starting around lunchtime I was to fatigue to do anything as I constantly dosed of. This morning, after night with constant stomach cramps, Dianne took me to the cancer center for my chemo treatment. Drawing blood for a CBC to determine my premeds, it was found that I was at the limit of going ahead, but because of my stomach issues during the night and a high fever, I was told that I need to check in at John Muir’s ER because I have neutropenic fever, which the CC is not setup for.
That is where I am now. I am very fatigue and even typing this short note has taken some time as I dozed of two times writing it.
I will try to get back to my regular reporting after they find out what is causing this, or I am no longer dozing off for long periods.
Today was not a good day. I got up around 6:50 to start my morning routine, and like yesterday, after getting up I was hit by dizziness, stomach aches, sweating and shortness of breath. I took some oxygen to overcome the shortness of breath. At 8:00 Dean and I went for our walk. As I mentioned before the portable oxygen concentrator only pushes O2 out into the nose when it detects me breathing in. I have always been a mouth breather. It takes me some effort to remember, also when talking, the mouth is the main input for the O2. These two handicaps make it harder to walk outside, forcing me to stop a few times to take in some O2.

It did not last long, we are back to the bad days. It started right after getting up around 8:15, I got very dizzy and my stomach was rumbling and would not settle down. I was able to have breakfast and take my medication, but needed to rest as I was fighting all day long the feeling of having to throw up in addition to dealing with my dizziness and stomach issues. The only good news, I did not have to deal with sweating.

As to my activities, like the last few days, there were not many. However today I spend most of my ay inside the cancer center on a recliner to get my chemo infusion. I was able to take some PICTURES during my treatment of the IV Pole.
After my treatment, Dianne took me home. I rested which helped to keep my shoulder and back pain in check, however for about 30 minutes sweat returned. After the sweating stopped I start with the daily processing of my pictures and working on my Living with Cancer and Photography blog.
For the rest of the day my activities were the same as always, watching some TV in the background when working on my blog, today I had to continue to work on my blogs after dinner since I had little time before dinner because my treatment did not end until 4:00. After dinner, having finished my blog entries, I watch some TV or a Movie before calling it a day.
In summary, overall today was another so-so day.

Today was a better day. Health-wise the day was a better day, my stomach started to cooperate. I still only ate white rice with applesauce for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, I had chicken noodle soup and toast. As to my hydration issue, I did not need any today.
