Today was another Good day. Again I did not get up at my normal time because I wanted to be rested for our trip to UCSF. I got up at 8:30, with some dizziness but no stomach issues. I did my morning chores before going downstairs. By the time I got downstairs I started to sweat which would not stop until about 9:30, shortly before we left at 10:00 for UCSF.
Dianne pick me up at we left at 10:00 for our 12:00 appointment with Dr. Nina Shaw our UCSF Oncology doctor. Our drive to UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at 400 Parnassus Ave, San Francisco, CA was about 1hr 45min for 41 miles (ca. 66 km).
The appointment was about giving us an update of our options on moving forward. For now the CAR T-cell trial is full, even if there is a place, my over all numbers are not all where they need to be. The goal now is to get them there. To start we will go ahead with the new treatment the Kyprolis/Cytoxan drugs. I will have to go 2 days in row for 3 weeks for infusion, followed off one week.
We will closely watch each week what the numbers do, as well what side effects develop. The goal is for the numbers to improve and hopefully the side effects are at a minimum to not have bad days. For the trial the looking for candidates that are in good shape not having to deal with bad days, because they will have to be able to handle the bad side effects the trial may produce. Our next meeting will be a Video meeting on the 4th November.
After getting back home and Dianne set me up with the hydration. For the next hour and a half we both watched some TV before it was time to get supper ready. I spend the time to get my system ready for the future video meetings with UCSF in the future, staring in November. Which will be so nice not to have to drive for simple F2F appointment to San Francisco.
That’s it for today, after dinner we watched TV for the rest of the evening until it was time to call it a day.
Today was a Good day. I did not get up as normal because my temperature at 7:20 was 100.0F. I therefore stayed in bed hoping to get the temperature down soon since I had an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner at 10:00 about my next treatment. I was in luck my temperature drop to 98.5F before 9:00. I got up by 9:00 and got ready for Dianne to pick me up for my 10:00 appointment.

Today was a Busy Day. I woke up around 8:30, had breakfast and got ready for our trip to UCSF. Our appointment was for 3:00, but were informed if we got there earlier we may be able to see our doctor before 3:00. It turned out that way, which helped us bet the evening rush hour.
Getting back home, Dianne hook me up for my hydration. There was not much activity as I dozed off a number of times. I tried to overcome that problem, but no ons Being downstairs did not change my temperature and dozing off. I finally went back upstairs to call it a day and fall a sleep. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Today was the day I checked in at UCSF MC for my Stem Cell transplant. We got the final word at 10:00 this morning that a room was available and that we should check in between 13:00 and 14:00. Dianne got home from work around 10:45 just in time to join me for a final walk before our trip to San Francisco. Dianne, Denise and I left for San Francisco around 11:00. We arrived at UCSF MC at 12:30 and wend to the cafeteria for a quick lunch before checking in.

Overall it was a very good night of sleep. I am sure that much was due because of yesterday’s strenuous activities getting to and from the UCSF Parnassus Campus. As the mornings before, the muscle spasms in my left leg still are there, And today, the pain was a level 9 that took most of the early morning to wear off.
