Mac News: Digging Deeper into Mountain Lion   
Mountain Lion has brought its share of changes OS X, changes that bring many iOS features to the desktop. From the new Notes and Reminders apps to Notifications Center and Messages, it seems that the Mac looks more like a mobile device every day. That’s not to say OS X isn’t a great desktop OS.

Technology News: Investment in Digital Health Triples Over Past Year   
It’s not just mobile health (mHealth) that is growing fast. The overall digital health sector – which includes mHealth, B2B apps and consumer services such as ZocDoc – is also rapidly expanding. That’s if venture capital funding is anything to go by. A report by financial services company Burrill & Company states that private financings in digital health more than tripled in the first half of 2012. This follows a June report from nonprofit foundation Rock Health that showed “skyrocketing” VC funding in the sector.

Programming News: First Impressions of OS X Mountain Lion – It Didn’t Break my Java Development

Standards News: New ISO standard to help protect people against sun damage to the skin   
A new ISO standard will help laboratories and the cosmetics industry to measure the UVA performance of sunscreen products and will contribute to better protection for people against the harmful rays of the sun. ISO 24443:2012, Determination of sunscreen UVA photoprotection in vitro, gives specifications for an in vitro procedure to characterize the UVA protection of sunscreen products in accordance with a methodology defined in the standard.
