Mac News: Various Sources Back Up Claims Of Apple’s Smaller, Thinner iPad   
The iPad Mini. Originally pegged by DigiTimes (via Kotaku, MacRumors) back in April of this year, since then, we’ve seen a plethora of – (allegedly “leaked”) – information regarding Apple’s reported smaller, and lighter, tablet simply pour its way out of the rumour mill.

Technology News: Twitter Cofounders Unveil Their Newest Project, An Online Publishing Platform Called Medium   
On Tuesday, the Twitter cofounders lifted the curtain on their latest top secret project, a new online publishing tool called Medium. Williams tweeted out a “sneak peak” of the project and wrote that, “The @medium team is, pound for pound, the best I’ve ever worked with, bar none.”

Programming News: Why Lisp Did Not and Never Will Gain Enough Traction   
After discovering awesome power of Ruby that was somewhat inspired by Lisp I could not help but wonder if Lisp is truly “Lambda the Ultimate” as they say. Some brilliant and smart people are writing essays about it, for example “Revenge of the Nerds” really got me hyped. It is a language that has or can have any feature any other language has (and then some). It came to my attention that 1(one) man was able to replicate most of the cool stuff from Haskell in 10000 lines of Lisp code. Wow!

Other News: Apple gets a patent for an Apple TV cable box   
Apple TV will upgrade to live TV, complete with regular and cable channels, and recording abilities, if Apple acts on a patent it was granted today. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple a patent that allows for a video device display that would have an onscreen menu that pops up over the display while video is playing, and lets the user to essentially change the channel.
