2020-07-02 Living With Cancer – Day 1814

Today was almost a regular good day, health-wise my pain levels were at the normal range around three/two peaking only a few times to four/three. No surprise there. The pain level behaved as it should during my walk, resting and being active, etc.

2020-06-30 Living With Cancer – Day 1812

Today was a so-so day, health-wise I did not have a good night because of bone pain in my left heal, every hour on the hour for about five minutes, starting at midnight and ending around 05:00. For the morning the level was between three/two and four/three. The highest it got to was five/four at the end of my morning walk.

2020-06-29 Living With Cancer – Day 1811

Today was another good day, again, health-wise the pain levels were not the problem. The problem was again my eyesight, bright sunlight causing very low contrast in my good left eye, making it difficult to read my mail or compose any document, even when using the night-mode, white text on black background.

2020-06-28 Living With Cancer – Day 1810

Today was another good day, health-wise the pain levels were not the problem, or I am getting used to them. The problem today was my eyesight, bright sunlight causing very low contrast in my good left eye, making it difficult to read my mail or compose any document, even when using the night-mode, white text on black background.

2020-06-25 Living With Cancer – Day 1807

Today was a very busy day, health-wise like yesterday my pain levels were all over the board, as low as 3/2 and as high as 5/4. It started off normal three and two, but after the walk it went to four and three, where it stayed for most of the day. By the end of the day it was a five and four. It was concentrated on the left side of the shoulder and a bit up on the neck. The right hip was also active in the late afternoon.

2020-06-23 Living with Cancer – Day 1805

Today was a OK and busy day, health-wise my ‘normal’ pain levels increased from three and two to four for the shoulders and three for the lower back. It did however drop back to three and two a few times, but not for long, whereas it did not increase to level six and five. As to my eye, no change from yesterday. Tomorrow we have a appointment with UCSF and I foresee a change in dozage or a change in medication.

2020-06-22 Living With Cancer – Day 1804

Today was a so-so day, health-wise my pain levels had increased after my doctors visit to a steady four for the shoulder and three for my lower back. Around 5:00 the levels were at six and five, the reason being some new pains in my hips and along the lower ripcage. Taking an additional doze of the pain medication lowered the levels an acceptable four and three.

2020-06-21 Living With Cancer – Day 1803

Today was not a good day, it all started around 1:30 AM and continuing almost every hour on the hour until 5:00 AM. If that was not enough one or more of our neighbors were setting off fireworks all night long continuing into the morning, along with playing music to perhaps celebrate Father’s Day.

2020-06-19 Living With Cancer – Day 1801

It is hard to report from the health side when there is little if any change. Since the reports are positive it is great to just report, the same as the day before. I do take my vitals, blood pressure, weight, pulse oximeter and temperature, twice a day, and they look good.
